Creating your own portfolio gives you complete control over your investment strategy while allowing you to share your approach with the dub community.
How to Create a Portfolio
Follow these simple steps to create your own portfolio:
- From the app home screen, tap the "+ Create" button to start creating a portfolio
- Add assets by tapping the "+" button and searching for the stocks and ETFs you want to include. Then press "Done" located on the top right.
- Set allocation percentages using the sliders to determine how much goes to each asset (must total 100%)
- Review your selections carefully before confirming
- Choose a portfolio name that clearly reflects your investment strategy
- Write a brief description explaining your portfolio's focus and goals
- Select a unique ticker symbol (7–11 characters) that represents your portfolio
- To finalize, tap on "Create My Portfolio"
Managing Your Portfolio
Once you've created and invested in your portfolio, you can:
Rebalance Your Portfolio
Rebalancing allows you to adjust your portfolio allocations as market conditions or your strategy changes:
- Navigate to your portfolio details page
- Tap the Pie Chart icon
- Adjust the percentage allocations for each asset
- Review the changes and confirm
- Your rebalance order will execute during market hours
Private vs. Public Portfolios
You can control who can see and copy your portfolio:
Making a Portfolio Public:
- Go to your portfolio details page
- Find the "Visibility" setting
- Toggle from "Private" to "Public"
- Confirm your choice
Before you can make your portfolio public, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
- $1,000 personal investment – You must have at least $1,000 of your own funds deposited into the portfolio (this is based on actual deposits, not including any gains or losses)
- Portfolio active for 30+ days – Your portfolio must have been active for at least 30 days
- Portfolio description (75+ characters) – Add a description explaining your portfolio's strategy
- Profile image uploaded – Add a profile picture to your account
- Profile bio (100+ characters) – Write a bio that's at least 100 characters long
These requirements ensure that creators have "skin in the game" and provide helpful context for users who may want to copy your strategy. If you don't see the option to make your portfolio public, double-check that all requirements above are met.
Making a Portfolio Private:
- Access your portfolio settings
- Change the visibility from "Public" to "Private"
- Note that existing copiers will still be able to follow your portfolio
