Types of Portfolios
1. Self-Created Portfolios
These are portfolios you create yourself by selecting specific stocks and ETFs. You have complete control over:
- Which assets to include
- How to allocate your investments
- When to update or modify your portfolio
When you create your own portfolio, you can invest in it yourself or publish it for others to copy.
2. User-Created Portfolios
These are portfolios created by other dub users that are publicly available on the platform. When you copy these:
- You follow another user's investment strategy
- No additional fees are charged beyond your subscription
- You benefit from the creator's perspective while maintaining your own account
3. Premium Portfolios
Premium portfolios are professionally managed by dub Advisors, LLC. These portfolios:
- Are constructed using specialized investment methodologies
- May have additional management fees
- Offer access to professional investment strategies
How Rebalancing Works
Rebalancing is the process of adjusting a portfolio to maintain a desired asset allocation. How this works depends on the portfolio type:
Rebalancing Self-Created Portfolios
When you create your own portfolio:
- You control when and how to rebalance
- You can manually update allocations at any time
- Changes only affect your own investments unless others have copied your portfolio
Rebalancing Copied Portfolios
When you copy another user's portfolio:
- You authorize dub Financial to place orders based on trade signals from the creator
- Your portfolio automatically adjusts when the creator makes changes
- Every 3 months, dub provides a check-in to ensure the copied portfolio still aligns with your investment goals
Important Considerations for User Portfolios
When exploring user-created portfolios, please keep in mind:
- No Investment Advice: Users are prohibited from providing investment advice through the dub app
- Individual Circumstances: Portfolios reflect each creator's unique preferences and objectives
- Educational Purpose: These portfolios are for informational purposes only
- Risk of Loss: Past performance doesn't guarantee future results
- Potential Timing Differences: Portfolio creators could be trading outside of dub and might achieve different prices
