While withdrawing funds from your dub account is typically straightforward, you may encounter issues.
Bank Account Mismatch
For security and regulatory reasons, withdrawals must be made to the same bank account that was used for deposits. If you attempt to withdraw to a different bank account, the withdrawal may be rejected.
Symptoms:
- Your withdrawal request is delayed or rejected
- You receive a notification about a bank account mismatch
- You've recently changed your linked bank account before attempting a withdrawal
Solutions:
-
Relink Your Original Bank Account
- Go to Settings > Bank Accounts
- Unlink your current bank account
- Link the original bank account that you used for deposits
- Resubmit your withdrawal request
-
If You No Longer Have Access to Your Original Bank
- Contact support@dubapp.com
- Explain your situation (e.g., bank account closed, lost access)
- Be prepared to provide documentation proving the account closure or other extenuating circumstances
- Our team will work with you to verify your identity and approve a withdrawal to your new bank account
Material Changes to Bank Account
Recent changes to your bank account information can affect your ability to withdraw funds.
Symptoms:
- Error messages when attempting to withdraw
- Withdrawal appears to be processing but then fails
- You've recently updated your bank account password or personal information
What Are Material Changes?
Material changes include:
- Password updates
- Address changes
- Account type conversions
- Security setting modifications
- Bank mergers or system upgrades
Solution:
-
Refresh Your Bank Connection
- Go to Settings > Bank Accounts
- Select your linked bank account
- Tap "Unlink Account"
- Tap "Link a Bank Account" to establish a fresh connection
- Follow the Plaid prompts to reconnect your bank
- Attempt your withdrawal again
Insufficient Withdrawable Cash
Symptoms:
- "Insufficient funds" error despite seeing a balance in your account
- Unable to withdraw the full amount you're expecting
Possible Causes:
-
Recent Deposits Still Settling
- New deposits require a 5-business-day settlement period before withdrawal
- Example: A deposit made on Monday won't be withdrawable until the following Tuesday
-
Recently Sold Investments Still Settling
- Funds from sold portfolios require a 1-business-day (T+1) settlement
- Example: A portfolio sold on Wednesday will be withdrawable on Thursday
