To fund your dub account and begin investing, you'll need to link a bank account. This article explains how our bank linking process works through our partner Plaid, which banks are supported, and important account requirements.

How to Link Your Bank Account

We partner with Plaid, which is a secure financial technology platform that allows you to safely connect your bank account to dub. 

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Access Bank Linking
   • Open the dub app
   • During onboarding, you'll be prompted to link a bank account
   • If you need to link a bank later, go to Settings > Bank Accounts > Link a Bank Account
2. Select Your Bank
   • Search for your bank in the Plaid interface
   • Select your bank from the list of supported institutions
3. Provide Credentials
   • Enter your online banking username and password
   • These credentials are handled directly by Plaid and are not stored by dub
   • You may need to complete two-factor authentication if required by your bank
4. Choose an Account
   • Select the specific checking or savings account you wish to link
   • Review the account details to ensure it's the correct account
5. Confirmation
   • Once linked, you'll receive a confirmation in the app
   • Your bank account is now ready for deposits and withdrawals

Supported Bank Accounts

Banks We Support

Plaid connects with thousands of financial institutions, including:

• Major national banks (Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citibank, etc.)
• Regional and local banks
• Online banks (Chime, Ally, Capital One, etc.)
• Credit unions

If you can't find your bank, double-check the spelling or try searching for alternative names your bank might use.

Account Requirements

Your linked bank account must be:

• A personal checking or savings account (not a business account)
• In your name as the account owner or beneficial owner
• Able to support ACH transfers

Accounts We Cannot Accept

The following types of accounts cannot be linked to dub:

• Business bank accounts
• Accounts not in your name
• Accounts from other brokerage firms
• Investment accounts or money market accounts
• Prepaid cards or gift cards
• International bank accounts without U.S. routing numbers
