The dub Leaderboard is where users discover top-performing portfolios and creators. Whether you're an investor looking for strategies that match your goals or a creator looking to grow your audience, here's how it all works.
Browsing the Leaderboard
The Leaderboard tab ranks public portfolios across three categories, each accessible via tabs at the top of the screen:
- Returns — Ranked by time-weighted performance, gross of any fees. Inception dates vary for each portfolio, so it's important to review all relevant information about a portfolio and its holdings before investing.
- Copies — Ranked by the total number of users currently copying the portfolio.
- Capital — Ranked by the total dollar amount invested in copying the portfolio, including investments made by the portfolio's creator.
You can toggle between Core (no subscription required) and Premium portfolios using the selector at the top of the screen. You can also filter results by time period — All-Time, YTD, 6M, 3M, 1M, or Today — to see how portfolios are performing over different windows. Portfolios that are new to the leaderboard will display a "New" indicator next to their rank.
Discovering Portfolios Beyond the Leaderboard
In addition to the Leaderboard tab, you can also discover portfolios and creators through the Core and Premium tabs in the app. These pages feature curated sections including Top Market Beaters (portfolios outperforming the broader U.S. stock market as measured by VTI), Popular Creators, Portfolios with Motion, Creator Spotlight, and Skin in the Game. Portfolios and creators featured in these sections also meet dub's Global Discoverability Criteria outlined below.
Getting on the Leaderboard (For Creators)
The Leaderboard is not a static list of all public portfolios — it's a dynamically ranked view of portfolios that meet dub's Global Discoverability Criteria. To be eligible to appear on the Leaderboard and across discovery sections throughout the app, your portfolio must meet all of the following:
- Completed Profile — You have a profile image and description for both your creator profile and your portfolio
- Active Creator — You have logged into dub within the past 4 days
- Portfolio Age — Your portfolio was created at least 1 month ago
- Outperforms Benchmark — Your portfolio has outperformed the market benchmark (VTI) since inception
- Recent Rebalancing Activity — Your portfolio has been rebalanced at least 2 times ever, and at least once in the past 6 months
- Diversification — Your portfolio does not contain any single stock with a concentration of 60% or more
These requirements ensure that featured portfolios are actively managed, demonstrate a track record of outperformance, and maintain reasonable diversification — helping investors make more informed decisions.
Tips to Stay Leaderboard-Eligible
- Log in regularly — open the dub app at least once every few days
- Rebalance when appropriate — review and adjust your allocations periodically to reflect your current strategy
- Maintain diversification — avoid concentrating more than 60% of your portfolio in a single stock
- Monitor your performance — track how your portfolio compares to VTI over time
Can People Still Find My Portfolio?
Yes. Even if your portfolio doesn't appear on the Leaderboard, anyone can find it by searching for your portfolio name, ticker symbol, or creator handle using the search bar in the app. Making your portfolio public ensures it's always discoverable via search..
