When Can You Cancel a Deposit?
- The deposit was recently initiated (typically within 24 hours)
- The deposit has not yet been processed by our clearing firm
- The deposit shows a "Pending" status in your transaction history
How to Cancel a Pending Deposit
- Go to Settings located at the top right corner of the app
- Under the Settings section, click on Bank Transfers
- Find the pending transfer you wish to cancel
- If the transfer is eligible for cancellation, you will see a Cancel option below it
- Select Cancel and confirm
If The Cancellation Option is Not Available:
If you don't see the cancellation option for your pending transfer, it means:
- The transfer has progressed too far in processing
- The deposit is no longer eligible for self-service cancellation
In this case:
- The dub team can attempt to cancel your deposit on the backend. Please contact us at support@dubapp.com.
When dub Cannot Cancel a Deposit
In some cases, our team may be unable to cancel a deposit for the following reasons:
- You've already used the fronted buying power associated with this deposit to copy/create a portfolio
- Your deposit has already completed processing and the funds have been credited to your account
Note: If a deposit fails due to an overdraft condition or cancellation from your bank, your account will be charged a $30 reversal fee
Best Practices
- Double-check the deposit amount before confirming to avoid needing to cancel
- If you're unsure if a deposit went through successfully, refresh your app and check your bank transfer history before attempting a new deposit
- Only initiate deposits from a bank account with sufficient funds
- If you need to cancel, do so as soon as possible after initiating the deposit
- If you're unsure about a deposit, contact support before initiating it
