Before You Begin: Important Prerequisites
Before your account can be closed, you must complete these essential steps:
- Liquidate all investments - You cannot close an account with active investments
- Withdraw all funds - Your account balance must be zero
- Cancel any active subscription - While not required, this is recommended to avoid future charges
Step-by-Step Account Closure Process
Step 1: Cancel Your Subscription
- Open the dub app
- Tap the "Premium" button at the top right corner of the app's home screen
- Select "Cancel Subscription"
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm cancellation
Note: Canceling your subscription does not automatically close your account. You can still access your account to withdraw funds even after canceling your subscription.

Step 2: Liquidate Your Investments
Before closing your account, you must sell all your investments:
- Open the dub app
- Navigate to your portfolio(s)
- Tap "Sell"
- Select "Sell All"
- Review the details and confirm the transaction
Note: Proceeds from your sales will take one business day (T+1) to settle before they become available for withdrawal.
Step 3: Withdraw All Funds
Once your investments are liquidated and the proceeds have settled:
- Open the dub app
- Tap on your profile icon in the top-right corner
- Select "Bank Transfers"
- Tap "Withdraw"
- Enter the total available amount
- Confirm the withdrawal
Note about settlement periods: It takes five business days for a deposit to settle between your bank and our clearing broker. If you've recently made a deposit, you'll need to wait until the settlement period is complete before withdrawing those funds.
Step 4: Request Account Closure
Once steps 1-3 are complete and your account shows a zero balance, you can request account closure in one of two ways:
Option A: Through the App
- Open the dub app
- Tap on your profile icon in the top-right corner
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page
- Tap "Close Account"
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm
Option B: Through Support
- Fill out a Support Request Form
- Select "Account closure form" as the topic
- Provide your account details and confirmation that you've liquidated all investments and withdrawn all funds
What Happens After You Submit a Closure Request
After submitting your account closure request:
- Our team will verify that all investments have been liquidated and all funds have been withdrawn
- If everything is in order, we'll process your account closure request within 1-2 business days
- You'll receive an email confirmation once your account has been closed
Account Closure Confirmation
We will send an email confirmation once your account is closed. If you would like to receive a formal account closure confirmation letter, please specify this in your closure request, and we'll be happy to provide one.
