What are Capacity Limits?
Capacity limits are maximum investment limits placed on user-created portfolios to ensure optimal trading conditions and protect all investors on the dub platform. When a portfolio reaches its copy capital limit, it becomes temporarily unavailable for new investors to copy until the total invested capital falls below the threshold.
Current Copy Capital Cap Limit
We've implemented a $15 million copy capital limit on all peer-to-peer (user-created) portfolios. This means that once the total amount invested by all users copying a particular portfolio reaches $15 million, the portfolio will be temporarily unavailable for new copiers.
When Will a Portfolio That Reached Its Limit Become Available Again?
A user-created portfolio that has reached its limit will automatically become available for copying again when:
- The total copy capital falls below the $15 million threshold - This can happen when existing copiers reduce their positions or exit the portfolio
- dub adjusts the limit- dub is currently evaluating these limits and reserves the right to make additional changes in the future.
