About dub Advisors, LLC
All portfolios presented in the Premium section of the dub app are managed by dub Advisors, LLC (“dub Advisors”), an SEC-registered investment adviser. dub Advisors offers access to investment portfolios it builds and manages internally, as well as model portfolios created by individual creators or entities who engage with dub Advisors under licensing agreements. While creators provide the model inputs or trading signals, all actual investment management decisions, including trading, are made by dub Advisors, and performance displayed in-app reflects actual results.
Creator and Sponsored Portfolios
Some Premium portfolios are sponsored by individual creators. These sponsored portfolios reflect the creator’s thematic interest or values but are still managed and traded by dub Advisors. Creators are not authorized to trade client accounts or provide personalized advice. dub Advisors oversees all activity, including compliance with regulatory standards. Creator bios featured in-app are prepared by the creators themselves, with oversight and editing support from dub Advisors to ensure accuracy and adherence to content policies.
Relationship with dub and Platform Access
dub Advisors operates under a licensing agreement with DASTA Incorporated (d/b/a “dub”), which owns and maintains the dub mobile app and platform. While dub Advisors provides advisory services through the app, it is not responsible for the operation of the platform generally and is solely focused on the investment advisory activities associated with Premium portfolios.
Requirements for Engagement
Accessing and copying a Premium portfolio in the dub app requires entering into an advisory relationship with dub Advisors. This includes reviewing and signing dub Advisors’ Client Advisory Agreement and receiving a copy of its Form ADV brochure, available here or upon request. These steps are completed through the dub app.
Brokerage and Execution
dub Advisors directs brokerage transactions to DASTA Financial, LLC, a registered broker-dealer and FINRA member. DASTA Financial is an affiliate of dub Advisors and facilitates trade execution through its relationship with Apex Clearing Corporation. This arrangement may present a conflict of interest, as dub Advisors benefits indirectly from routing trades to an affiliated broker-dealer. These conflicts are disclosed in dub Advisors’ Form ADV Part 2A and monitored to ensure best execution standards are maintained.
Performance and Methodology
Portfolio performance is calculated using a time-weighted return methodology and is presented in the app as an index value over time to help users understand performance trends. These figures are based on actual trading in dub advisors proprietary account and are not hypothetical or back-tested.
